YMCA Project Principles
Your new YMCA Centre of Community will be built based on the following principles:
Accessibility- To provide the citizens of this community with a fully accessible and affordable state of the art, health promotion, active living, recreation and community based centre and in doing so to add to the community inventory of much needed aquatic and recreation facilities.
Investment- To reinvest and remain in the community where we have been good neighbours and served for nearly 60 years. Your YMCA is committed to working to achieve the highest and best use of this premier location to complete this gift to the community that will remain in place for the next 60 years.
Relevant Programs & Services- To deliver diverse programs and services that ultimately provides current and future citizens with the opportunity to grow in spirit, mind and body.
Affordability- To have and execute a development model that minimizes the gap between the cost to build your new YMCA and the likely result of a Capital Campaign.
Sustainability- To have and execute an operating model that is self - sustainable, ensures the ongoing re-investment in the capital infrastructure to stay “as new” and supports affordable access for all who wish to participate.
